"This is why your wardrobe sucks" – The Handlers

"This is why your wardrobe sucks"

Ok guys, the next time she tries to convince you to buy clothing "because it will go with everything", say no.

You've heard it many times, she's standing in front of her bulging wardrobe and she has NOTHING to wear. Don't you just love how that always happens minutes before you have to leave? Well, that's because she has a whole wardrobe full of practical items. Now, practicality has its place, but sometimes we have to rock the boat in order to keep things fresh.

Think about it: practical items are usually plain and neutral in colour. These are items you can wear on most occasions and it goes with basically everything in your wardrobe, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The problem comes when you fill your cupboard with only practical items. Sometimes you need a little something extra: you're going on a date, you have an interview or you just need an outfit to boost your confidence when you're not feeling all that great. That's when you don't need a whole range of neutral, blendy-inny items.

Depending on your personality and your job, I would say 10 percent of the items in your wardrobe need to stand out. These will save the day when you don't feel like benefiting from the perks of being a wallflower.

Girls, think sparkly tops, killer heels and the occasional fur coat. Guys, it's that leather jacket or those expensive boots you've been eyeing. It's gonna save you like 30 minutes every time you need to get dressed. Now that's practical thinking!
